🌿Welcome to Webster Oil & Gas Company — a simulated platform developed as part of our academic project, representing a global leader in the oil and gas industry. Our journey in developing this Oil & Gas Company project has been an intense yet rewarding experience, driven by a desire to simulate real-world industrial operations through modern web development tools and teamwork. Here's how our journey unfolded:
🟢 2022 – Skill Development Year
In 2022, we focused on strengthening our technical foundation. We advanced from basic programming to working on structured projects using languages like C++, Java, and web technologies. We explored the basics of database management, UI design, and logic building — all of which helped us understand how large-scale industry systems operate. This was a year of skill polishing and technical growth.
🟢 2023 – Exploring Real-World Systems
This year marked a shift from academic learning to real-world exploration. We began analyzing how various industries — especially the Oil & Gas sector — use software solutions for operations like hiring, logistics, and reporting. We studied existing enterprise systems and participated in seminars that showcased how companies streamline processes through technology. This inspired the idea of creating a digital solution for oil & gas recruitment in the future.
🟢 2024 – Planning the Final eProject
Actively started working on the eProject with a focus on modular development and documentation. Created detailed project documentation including DFDs, flowcharts, process diagrams, and database schemas. Developed the full-stack application with all functional modules and real-time testing. Designed a User Manual and a Developer’s Guide to ensure the application is maintainable and easy to use.
🟢 2025 – Webster Project Execution
In 2025, we brought our vision to life. Over the course of one month, we developed the Webster Oil & Gas recruitment platform — a complete web application where jobseekers can register, take online tests, and proceed through automated shortlisting. The system was built using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, PHP, and SQL Server. It includes admin controls, candidate tracking, test generation, and result management. This project showcases our growth from students to developers, and reflects our understanding of industry-based problem solving, teamwork, and software development.
